Lena Kelekian

Lena Kelekian (b. Beirut) is a Lebanese multidisciplinary visual artist whose work bridges science, spirituality, and public space. Working across painting and large-scale environmental interventions, she has developed a distinctive abstract language rooted in organic forms and expressive gesture.

Kelekian has received international recognition, including Fine Arts Gold Medals at the Beijing 2008 and London 2012 Olympic Games, and the Torino 2006 Olympic Torch for Lebanon. She is a UNDP Goodwill Ambassador for Art and Development (Live Lebanon). Her work has been exhibited in over 60 countries since 1992 and is held in more than 35 museum collections worldwide.

Her practice is informed by a background in geology, reflected in her dynamic, nature-inspired compositions that explore landscape, energy, and transformation. Beyond the canvas, her public art and environmental design projects have contributed to shaping urban spaces through installations and monumental works.

Kelekian holds a degree in Geology from the American University of Beirut, a DST in Theology, a PhD in Arts and Restoration from European institutions, and has pursued Museum Curatorial Studies in Beijing.
